Crock Pot Recipes - Week of February 22

Feb 22, 2010

I have found these recipes on Facebook and other sites. If the measurements are vague - sorry! This is how I'm finding them! And, you'll probably want to open a can of vegetables or microwave some frozen veggies as a side dish for some of these.

1. Rub 4-5 porkchops with brown sugar and put in a ziplock baggie with soy sauce. Shake and refrigerate for an hour or so. Take 2 cans cream of mushroom soup and place the marinated pork chops on top and cook on low 7 or 8 hours or high 4 or 5. After cooked serve over rice.

2. Great healthy soup for winter-hard white northern beans, diced potato, diced red onion, diced turkey ham, fresh snapped green beans, 2 chicken bouillion, fresh italian herbs and minced garlic.

3. 3 Envelope Chicken (Someone else said they use a pork roast for this, too.)

4 or 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
1 envelope of chicken gravy
1 envelope of zesty italian dressing
1 envelope of ranch salad dressing
2 cups of water

*Put chicken in the crock pot.
*Add all three envelopes on top of chicken
*Add water

Cook on high for 5 hours.
We serve this over white rice, and a side salad. SO good and CHEAP!!

4. Mac and Cheese

1 (7OZ.)BOX OF MACARONI, COOKED AND DRAINED.
1 LG. CAN EVAPORATED MILK (UNDILUTED)
1 STICK MELTED MARGARINE
3 EGGS, BEATEN
3 CUPS MEDIUM OR SHARP CHEESE GRATED(YOUR PREFERENCE)
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE

IN A LG. BOWL, BEAT EGGS, THEN ADD MILK AND MELTED MARGARINE AND MIX WELL. ADD SALT AND PEPPER,DRAINED MACARONI, AND 2 CUPS OF GRATED CHEESE. STIR MIXING THROUGHLY. POIR MIXTURE INTO CROCK POT AND SPRINKLE REMAINING CUP OF CHEESE ON TOP. COOK ON LOW HEAT FOR 3 HRS. DO NOT REMOVE LID UNTIL READY TO SERVE!!! THIS IS VERY MOIST AND DOES NOT DRY OUT.

5. Dessert
Cake in crockpot

1 package chocolate cake mix
1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
3/4 cup oil
1 cup water
4 eggs
1 bag chocolate chips
1 pint sour cream

Directions:
Spray the inside of the Crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Mix ingredients in large bowl and pour into Crockpot. Cook on low for five to six hours. Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
